NSW Taxi Industry Additional Assistance Payment Scheme

NSW Additional Assistance Hire Vehicles Payment (AAHVP) Scheme not just for taxi owners

NSW Transport Point to Point has released the very long awaited NSW Additional Assistance Hire Vehicles Payment (AAHVP) Scheme (2nd round) for other segments of the NSW Taxi Industry, not just taxi owners. According to the media, up to $142 million in additional assistance is now available to target those detrimentally impacted by the reforms and in financial hardship.

NSW Additional Assistance Hire Vehicles Payment (AAHVP) Scheme will close on Monday 1 October 2018

The Additional Assistance Payment Scheme (AAPS) opened on 2 July 2018 and will close on Monday 1 October 2018. Late applications will not be accepted.

The Transitional Assistance Payment Phase 2 (TAP-P2) Scheme as stated on the Transport for NSW website will “enable payments to be made to certain eligible taxi licence holders who did not receive a transitional assistance payment but who the Taxi and Hire Vehicle Industries Assistance Panel recommends should be considered for an equivalent payment, as well as eligible taxi training schools that provided training courses to the taxi industry”.
