Fair and equitable compensation for taxi plate owners.

Will the Taxi industry land a blow against Uber? The lawyers will.

Justin Smith at 2GB speaks to Blair Davies the CEO of the Australian Taxi Industry Association about the class action Maurice Blackburn is launching against Uber and the impact to the taxi industry since Uber started.

Unfortunately Justin simply lost the plot and did not go on the attack and did not state the fact that Australia’s consumer watchdog ACCC says it will block a taxi-hailing smartphone app proposal from major taxi companies because it would reduce competition and “produce significant public detriments“. This gave Uber a free kick whilst gagging the Australian taxi industry.

Why hasn’t the  Australian Government been made to account for all this mess? Why has there not been any Senate Enquiry? Its time to sue each State Government for damages for both financial and emotional losses incurred by taxi licence owners.
